Light… It appeals to our most powerful sense and gives shape to our world. It created our fossil fuels and makes our plants grow. It is the natural power plant of our world and yet few have been able to capture the true essence of it. Brett has dedicated his life’s work to the study of light and he has both created it in laboratories and captured it on film. With every image Brett takes, his goal is to display the grand beauty of our illuminated world in it’s natural state for all the world to see.
But the story doesn’t end there. Brett’s adventure is just the first step in creating one of our limited edition prints. Each photograph is carefully inspected by Brett himself before being considered as a possible candidate for our next release. If a print is to Brett’s liking it undergoes a series of printing exercises to ensure color accuracy, sharpness and clarity.
Every Brett J Donnelly photograph is released in a limited number. Editions range from 10 to 250 prints depending on the image. Each photograph is signed by Brett and the edition number is noted next to his signature. As an edition is sold, the price of that image increases incrementally until it is completely sold out. This ensures that your Brett J Donnelly print increases in value over time.
Certain images are also issued an additional Artist Proof edition. These select images have been chosen by Brett to have an additional 1-20 prints issued. Artist Proofs are more rare than Limited Edition prints and therefore appreciate in value more rapidly.
Brett goes to the ends of the Earth to find the perfect light. Your limited edition print deserves that same attention. Our prints are so vibrant that at first glance many viewers believe they are illuminated from the back.
Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment our craftsmen permanently seal each photographic print into a piece of framing acrylic creating a single, solid work of art that protects the print from it’s environment, reduces glare and creates the highest definition photograph possible.
We believe that a photograph should be displayed in a way that is substantial and appropriate for the space. That’s why we take framing very seriously.
